Amalfi

Amalfi is one of the new Brazilian brands dressing traditional football away from the spotlight: its catalogue joins Nacional de São Paulo, the old Naça of Água Branca, with the Alligator of Piauí, official shirts sold through the country's big online stores. It introduces itself with a simple promise, to dress athletes and fans with performance, style and authenticity, and signs its labels with a motto in Spanish, Juega Este Juego, a wink to the whole continent. Whether the name honours the Italian coast or Yeso Amalfi, the São Paulo striker who charmed Europe in the fifties, the brand does not say. What matters is this: where there are clubs with history and little limelight, there is Amalfi cloth.
