About the brand

Diadora was born in 1948 in Caerano di San Marco, a few kilometres from Montebelluna, the same Veneto footwear district that gave the world Lotto, and began making mountain boots before descending to the pitches. In the 1970s and 80s it became a griffe: Björn Borg won Wimbledons with Diadora on his feet, and in football its list of ambassadors reads like a dream team, from Zico to Marco van Basten, from Roberto Baggio to Francesco Totti, all in its boots. It dressed Roma and clubs across Europe, and in Brazil left its mark on giants like Palmeiras, Atlético Mineiro and Vasco, plus two spells with Coritiba, the second beginning in 2024 in a return to Brazilian football staged through Curitiba and Campinas. Like neighbouring Lotto, it is proof that within ten kilometres of Montebelluna half a century of world football was shod. Veneto artisans, from the Alps to the stadiums.
