About the club
Few small town clubs hold this much silverware. Born in 1984 in Pistoia as A.C.F. Pistoiese, the club spent five seasons in the women's Serie C, won promotion to Serie B in 1987/88 and then moved to neighbouring Agliana, whose name it adopted.
Glory arrived there: in 1994/95 the biancoverdi won the Italian women's football championship, the only scudetto in their history, having already become the first Tuscan side to lift the women's Coppa Italia. The squad featured internationals like Silvia Nannini and names like Federica D'Astolfo, and the legacy survived successive renamings, Aircargo Agliana and later Real Aglianese, the thread always leading back to the same town that, for one season, was champion of Italy.
