About the club

Agronomia were born in 1935 as the students' association of Lisbon's Instituto Superior de Agronomia and are one of Portuguese rugby's oldest and most beloved clubs, at home on one of Europe's most beautiful grounds: the pitch at Tapada da Ajuda, planted in the middle of the school's botanical park, where rugby is played among century-old trees with Lisbon down below. The agronomists have won nine Portuguese Cups and two national championships, in 2007, the year they sent three players to the Wolves' first ever World Cup, and in 2018/19, wrestled from favourites Belenenses at Monsanto, twelve years after the first. Green and white, university-bred and with a royal park for a stadium: there is no other club like it.
