About the club
Born in 1909 as Dundee Hibernian, founded by the city's Irish community, the club only took its current name in 1923. It has always played at Tannadice Park, an absurd 150 metres from rivals Dundee FC, on the street with the two closest professional grounds in British football. Tangerine and black since 1969, the Tangerines lived their golden age under Jim McLean: Scottish champions in 1983, European Cup semi finalists in 1984 and UEFA Cup finalists in 1987. The fans answer to the name of Arabs and are among the most loyal in the country.
