About the club

Pelister is the mountain's club: it takes its name from the peak rising over Bitola, North Macedonia's second city, and has worn the green and white of the Zeleno-beli since its rebirth in 1945, with roots reaching back to Omladina of 1924. In Yugoslav times it won the Macedonian republic league four times and reached the last 16 of the 1990/91 Yugoslav Cup, out on away goals to a Hajduk side that went on to win it.

In independent Macedonia it plays the eternal derby with Vardar, driven on by the Čkembari, ultras born in 1985 from a convoy heading to a handball match, and lifted its first major trophy in 2001, the Cup. The old Tumbe Kafe is now named after Petar Miloševski, the Bitola goalkeeper Macedonian football lost far too soon.
