About the club

Füchse Berlin Reinickendorf were born on 28 January 1891 as a gymnastics club in northern Berlin, adopting the fox in 1947 in a nod to the medieval epic of Reineke Fuchs and the district's own coat of arms. The club's handball section grew into a national powerhouse, but football is where the Füchse run one of the capital's biggest talent factories, with over thirty registered teams.

The academy shaped Kevin-Prince Boateng, Ashkan Dejagah and Änis Ben-Hatira before their leap to the Bundesliga, proof that northern Berlin's biggest club is a permanent shop window for German football scouts. Green and white through and through, with the red fox on the chest.
