Grupo Desportivo e Cultural de Ferreira

GDC Ferreira was born on 8 September 1982 in the parish of Ferreira, in Paços de Ferreira, and the motto says it all: growing since 1982. Out of the São Miguel ground came one of the Vale do Sousa's great youth anthills, with age groups from toddlers to seniors and veterans, eleven, nine and seven a side football, and futsal, an entire parish organised into teams. Its identity card is on the crest: the Romanesque church of São Pedro de Ferreira, a national monument that has watched the parish grow around it for eight centuries. And in the capital of furniture even the sponsors tell the land's story, from upholstery to the butcher and the monastery café.
