About the club

Islami Qalqilya were founded in 1995, year 1416 of the Islamic calendar as the crest recalls, and they are far more than a football team: they are one of the largest sports, cultural and social clubs in the West Bank, serving a governorate of 85 thousand people with activities ranging from sport to volunteering. The city of Qalqilya is unique in the world: it sits almost completely surrounded by the Israeli separation barrier, with a single main entrance, yet keeps alive its reputation as Palestine's fruit basket and home of the territory's only zoo. The club debuted in the West Bank Premier League in 2012 and returned to the elite in 2021, playing at the Qalqilya Municipal Stadium in front of 3 thousand people. Football as an affirmation of existence.
