About the club

For decades Torremolinos was a small fishing and milling settlement, swallowed by the city of Málaga in 1924 and only regaining its independence in 1988, by then transformed into one of the Costa del Sol's great tourist destinations. Football arrived first, in 1932, with C.F. Torremolinos founded by Miguel Cerdán, but the club that represents the city today was born in 1958, named Juventud for the youth of its founders, who began competing in juvenile categories before climbing to regional level. Over the years it absorbed other local clubs, Los Leones in 1969 and Nuevo Atlético Torremolinos in 1972, consolidating itself as the city's sole reference point. Always playing at the Estadio Municipal El Pozuelo, Juventud spent decades shuttling between the Tercera División and regional categories until living, already in the 21st century, the best spell in its history, with successive promotions that took it to Primera Federación, Spain's third national tier, and to a youth development agreement with Málaga CF.
