Mon Thong Wittaya

Monthong Wittaya is a small school of a Muslim community in Bang Nam Priao, among the rice fields of Chachoengsao, with a dome, a star and a crescent for its symbol. In 2025 it entered Thailand's biggest school tournament, Channel 7HD's Champion Cup, seven a side football played at the national stadium, and travelled to Bangkok in an old open backed truck while the wealthy colleges arrived by coach. The whole country adopted it: the dream truck knocked out three time champions full of youth internationals, won a penalty shootout 20-19, earned from the press the nickname of the Celtic of Bang Nam Priao and pushed the final beyond the Suphachalasai's twenty thousand seats, with people sitting on the running track. It lost 2-1, after leading. Nobody will remember the score.
