About the club

QPR were born in 1882 in west London and took their name from the Queen's Park district, home to most of the players. Few people know that England's most famous hoops started out green and white: only in 1926 did the club adopt the blue and white that defines it. Loftus Road has held everything: the 1967 League Cup, won by a third division side in the competition's first Wembley final, the 1975/76 runners up spot lost by a single point with Bowles and Francis, the 1982 FA Cup final, English football's first artificial pitch and a founding place in the Premier League. And it was against QPR that Agüero scored the 93:20 goal, on a day when even the Superhoops survived.
