Sporting Clube da Covilhã

Sporting Clube da Covilhã was founded in 1923 in the mountain city of Covilhã, in Portugal's interior Beira Baixa region. The club's green and white hoops are a long-standing feature of its visual identity, mirroring the colours found in the local municipal flag and rooting the shirt firmly in its geography. Covilhã have spent much of their recent history in Portugal's second tier, competing steadily without the profile of the country's bigger clubs.
