About the club

Sporting Clube de Torres was born on 11 May 1929 in Torres Vedras, with no affiliation to Sporting Lisbon despite sharing its name, and is today a multi-sport club with roller hockey, futsal, table tennis, gymnastics and volleyball. The hockey section is the club's oldest and most identity-defining, with youth categories starting from toddlers, playing at the Pavilhão Sporting Clube de Torres. After a period of inactivity, it reorganised in 1947 and was declared a Public Utility Institution in 1982.
