About the club
Tockwith Juniors FC is the youth football club of the village of Tockwith, in the rural triangle between York, Harrogate and Wetherby in North Yorkshire. It lives at the village Sportsfield, shared with the bowls and tennis clubs, one of the largest grounds in the Nidderdale, York and Selby district youth leagues, 150 yards from the Boot & Shoe pub.
The philosophy is written in black and white: every child counts, whatever their ability, and winning at all costs is not part of the project. Football, confidence and friendship are taught for the same subscription, in green and white hoops. This is deep England grassroots football, the kind that never makes television and holds everything else up.
