About the country

Serbia inherited one of Eastern Europe's great football schools, that of Yugoslavia, which produced technical geniuses for decades and whose national team was known as the Brazil of Europe. The league is dominated by Belgrade's eternal duo, Red Star and Partizan, protagonists of one of the most intense derbies on the planet, with Red Star holding the crown jewel: the European Cup won in 1991. Beyond the capital, Serbian football lives off small towns and century-old clubs, many of them, like Inđija, born of factories and railways.
