About the brand
Castore was born in Liverpool in 2015, founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, two former athletes who wanted to make premium training wear when nobody believed there was room outside the big three. Andy Murray came in as investor and face of the brand in 2019, and in 2020 the first football club followed, Rangers, then Newcastle, Aston Villa, Wolves, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and, in 2024, Everton.
Ireland signed in 2023, ending decades of Umbro at the FAI, and the first match came on 22 March 2023 with a 3-2 win over Latvia at the Aviva. A young British brand that grew by taking contracts from those who seemed untouchable, and now dresses both Irish senior teams.
