Lacatoni

Lacatoni was born in Braga in 1988, named after an anagram of its three founding friends, one of them a coach football knows well: Carlos Carvalhal. It started dressing local clubs and grew into Portugal's biggest sportswear brand, with its own production and design. In 2018/19 it was the most represented brand in the Portuguese top flight, ahead of the multinationals, and it took Angola and Mozambique to the 2023 AFCON. It dresses hundreds of teams across football, handball, futsal and roller hockey, usually far from the spotlight and close to the dirt pitches. In 2026 it was bought by Vincenti Capital Partners, with Carvalhal leaving the partnership after almost four decades.
