The story
A working Lacatoni: bold hoops, black touches on the shoulders and collar, mesh side panels and the golden wild boar on the chest. On the back, a white 17 trimmed in gold, cracked by matches and washes, the honest signature of a match worn shirt from Portugal's national lower tiers.
In 2009/10, Taipas played the Third Division in the Minho and Trás-os-Montes series, reaching the promotion phase among the top sides. These were the club's last years in the national leagues before dropping to the district ones, with the old Montinho, the oldest ground in Guimarães, as the stage for it all. Fittingly, the brand from up the road was living its golden age, dressing seven top flight clubs at the time.
