About the club
DJK SV Grün-Weiß Erkenschwick plays in Oer-Erkenschwick, in the Ruhr basin, and should not be confused with the town's better known SpVgg Erkenschwick, the historic black and red club that reached the Oberliga West in the 1950s: this is the other Erkenschwick, the one whose very name announces its colours. Today it plays in the region's most modest district leagues, the Kreisliga, far from the spotlight, with green and white as its only flag.
