About the club
Cherno More is the club of the port city of Varna and carries the Black Sea in its very name. The official root is 3 March 1913, the student society that would become Ticha, Bulgarian champions of 1938; the current club was born in 1945 from the merger of Ticha and Vladislav, from whom it inherited the green and white. They are the Moryatsite, the Sailors, and play at the Ticha Stadium, right by the Sea Garden.
The honours came in waves: bronze in 1953 and 2009, Cup finals in 2006 and 2008, and finally the trophy in 2015, with a dramatic win over Levski, followed by the Super Cup. In Varna, football speaks the language of the sea.
