The story
No shirt in the archive takes identity so literally: the green and white stripes of this Tomy are not stripes, they are waves, the Black Sea drawn in fabric, with ПФК Черно море embroidered on the collar and the four star crest on the chest. The Bulgarian brand, practically invisible outside the country, makes the piece a rare find.
And the season lived up to the design: in 2008/09 the Sailors finished third in the Bulgarian league, the club's best result in over half a century, matched only by the bronze of 1953, a year after reaching the Bulgarian Cup final.
