About the club

Lourinhanense was born on 26 March 1926 and carries its affiliation on the crest: it is Branch nº 24 of Sporting Clube de Portugal, with the golden lion on one side and, on the other, the laurel tree that names the town. In Lourinhã, in the west of the Lisbon district, it lived its most glamorous era in the 1990s as Alvalade's satellite club: on loan through here came Tiago Ferreira, who made his senior debut at the club, Luís Boa Morte, Marco Caneira, Vasco Faísca and Miguel Vargas, before the protocol moved to Alverca. A multi-sport club, from tennis to cycling, it plays at the Estádio Municipal da Lourinhã and won the III Divisão Série E title in 2012/13.
