SV Menzelen 1925

In the Lower Rhine, between Wesel and the Dutch border, the village of Menzelen has had its club since April 1925, born as DJK Harald within Germany's Catholic sports movement and known today as SV Menzelen 1925. It is the complete portrait of the village Verein: multi sport, with football, athletics, table tennis and judo under one roof, green and white enshrined in its statutes and facilities literally built by its members' hands, who between 2001 and 2007 erected the artificial pitch and clubhouse as volunteers. Football lives in the Niederrhein district leagues, with recent cause for celebration: the 2023/24 Kreisliga B title returned the first team to Kreisliga A. From the bambinis to the veterans, the whole village plays there. Grassroots football in its purest state, in green and white.
