About the club
Zeelandia Middelburg is the club of Middelburg, the capital of Zeeland, and the province's biggest sports club, with over 1,400 members. It was born on 22 June 2001 from the merger of two neighbours who spent decades back to back at the same sports park: Zeelandia, founded on 1 March 1910 as the working class club, and Middelburg, from 1916, the club of clerks and shopkeepers, three times Dutch amateur champions in the late 60s.
The move to the new Veerse Poort complex finally joined the city's two halves, and the Sinds 1910 on the shirt's nape keeps the house's oldest root alive.
