Puerto Rico is an island where football lives in the shadow of baseball and basketball, the ruling sports of the territory. Even so, the game has a history of its own: the federation was born in 1940, joined FIFA in 1960 and the national team, the Huracanes Azules, competes in CONCACAF, in a territory that is at once Caribbean and North American. It is from this unlikely context that the archive's Puerto Rican representative arrives: Santurce, from the San Juan district of the same name, with a shirt of green and white vertical stripes.
