The story

Few Celtic shirts delivered so much per inch of fabric. In 2001/02, Martin O'Neill's second year, the hoops with ntl: on the chest steamrolled Scotland: champions with 103 points, a modern era record, just one defeat in 38 games and Henrik Larsson in imperial form, nearly 30 goals in the league alone. It was also the season of Celtic's debut in the Champions League group stage, crowned by the mythical 4-3 win over Juventus in an erupting Celtic Park. Only the Scottish Cup escaped, lost to Rangers to a last minute goal. And the design had a second life: in 2002/03 it was in these same hoops that Celtic marched to the UEFA Cup final in Seville, where 80 thousand fans dressed in green and white watched Larsson score twice before Mourinho's Porto settled it in extra time. A simple, almost austere shirt that caught Celtic at their strongest in decades. Sometimes the design does not need to do anything: it just needs to be there when history happens.

Here at Hoopster this is the shirt of the 103 points and an imperial Larsson, with a second life on the march to Seville. Few cloths have yielded so much per centimetre of hoop.
