U.C.C. Pozzuolo 2001/02 Home Shirt

The only shirt in the collection that documents itself: in the lower right corner, printed on the fabric, it reads Maglia Ufficiale, U.C.C. Pozzuolo, Campionato Serie D, 2001-2002, as if the club knew that season deserved a certificate. It is the textile record of the year the united villages of Pozzuolo del Friuli played the national championship, with the Enel sponsored Serie D patches on the sleeves, estate agents I Longobardi on the chest, a name that is near heraldry in the land that was once the heart of the Lombard kingdom, and Manente Sport's stamp above the 7 on the back.

The work is by Essegi, the double S this collection knows from another life, in ribbed fabric with a polo collar: turn of the century Italian dilettantismo in its purest state.
