Ferro’s third shirt for 2023 arrived on 28 July, the day the club turned 119, and the design did not come from an office: it was chosen by the fans in a vote on the club’s official social channels. The horizontal stripes revive models the club wore in the late 1960s and the first decade of the 2000s.
It is the work of Lyon, a brand born in Caballito, Ferro’s own neighbourhood, and carries two golden stars above the crest, one for each Nacional title of the Griguol era. Lepore, a real estate firm, sits on the front, Electricidad Gallardo on the back, and at the launch it was worn by club members alongside players Gastón Moreyra and Martín Campos.
Here at Hoopster, this is one of the archive’s finest stories: a shirt that only exists because the fans voted for it.
