The story
Saller's second and final Lechia shirt, broad hoops running edge to edge, plain white round neck, the German brand's logo on both shoulders and Lotos, the Gdańsk refinery, in red across the chest. Nothing on the back, no name, no number: a terrace shirt for a season the club opened by celebrating its 70th anniversary on 7 August 2015.
The party did not last. Jerzy Brzęczek left in September, Thomas von Heesen lasted until December, Dawid Banaczek bridged the gap and Piotr Nowak arrived in January, four managers to finish fifth, with Grzegorz Kuswik scoring 11 goals and a Portuguese thread in the winter window: Makuszewski and Tiago Valente both came from Vitória de Setúbal. The shirt of the year Lechia went looking for itself without finding it.
