The story

One of the most loved shirts of the adidas era: heraldic lions and diagonal stripes woven into the fabric itself, and the unforgettable Queijo Castelões across the chest, the unlikely cheese sponsor that lives forever in Sporting folklore. It belongs to a turning point season. Carlos Queiroz's side, with Figo in his finest year as a lion, Balakov, Amunike and Yordanov, finished second in the league and won the Portuguese Cup, beating Marítimo 2 0 at the Jamor on 10 June 1995. Oceano lifted the club's 12th Cup, ending thirteen years without a trophy, as Figo and Balakov said goodbye in green and white.

Here at Hoopster, this shirt talks to the 1993/94 FAXE one, the same lion jacquard in opposite years: one keeps the 3 6, this one keeps the Jamor.
