The story

The first shirt of Sporting's Macron era, after eight years of Puma. The Italian brand arrived in July 2014 with a three-season deal and a design that went back to basics: broad green and white hoops, a classic green collar with white trim and a one-button placket, black touches on the shoulders. MEO sits in a white block on the chest, Super Bock on the back and, on the right sleeve, the patch of the newly named Liga NOS, which put the two rival telecom operators on the same shirt. The hoops run all the way down the sleeves.

It was Marco Silva's season, his only one at Alvalade: third in the league, a Champions League group with Chelsea, Schalke and Maribor, and above all the Portuguese Cup, won against Braga at the Jamor on 31 May 2015 after a comeback from 0-2 to 2-2 and a penalty shootout, the club's first trophy since 2008. Days later the coach was sacked.

Here at Hoopster, this is the shirt that opened a cycle of happy and unhappy finals, and the one that lifted the Cup again after seven years of waiting.
