Real Oviedo 1997/98 Third Shirt

A rare alternative shirt: instead of the usual blue and white, Oviedo appears here in green and white, the club name and founding year, 1926, repeated to exhaustion in circular stamps covering the entire fabric, a printing technique typical of 1990s Spain. The royal crest, crown and ball at its centre, remains intact above the signature of Joluvi, a brand from Asturias itself, headquartered in Corvera, a few kilometres from Oviedo, which makes this piece a genuinely regional product, the local club dressed by the local brand. It is the 1997/98 season, still in the Primera División, a year Spain's own league remembers for Oviedo's heavy 5-0 away defeat. Rare in colour, rare in the shared origin between club and manufacturer, this is one of the most singular pieces in the collection's Spanish section.
