Racing de Santander 2008/09 Home Shirt

Racing are called the Verdiblancos, yet their home shirt has always been white. It is in the change kits that the club wears the colours of its own name, and this 2008/09 away shirt, green and white hoops by Joma in the last of its three seasons in Santander, landed on the most special year of the club's recent history: their European debut. The sixth-place finish of 2007/08 had opened the UEFA Cup door and Racing walked through it by knocking out Finland's Honka, before falling in the group stage.

In the league, with Toño in goal and Colsa, Munitis and Žigić ahead of him, the club held its top-flight place, the multicoloured LFP sleeve patch dating the piece.
