Spain is the country that turned football into a matter of identity: every club is a flag, every regional championship is a world of its own, and the pyramid descends from the Primera División to the village leagues without ever losing its seriousness. The federation was born in 1913, La Liga in 1929, and the national team went from eternal promise to dynasty, with the 2010 World Cup slotted between European titles and short passing elevated to doctrine, before the 2023 world champions added the other half of the story. But in green and white hoops, Spain holds a delicious paradox: it is a country full of verdiblancos, from Betis to Racing de Ferrol, and almost all of them stripe the shirt vertically.
